Construction of Solar Powered Boreholes

Solar powered borehole water supply systems built and commissioned across selected communities in Bauchi and Yobe States.

Location
Bauchi and Yobe States, Nigeria
Project Type
Water Supply Programme

Project Overview

What this project is

The project involved the construction and commissioning of solar-powered borehole water supply systems across selected communities in Bauchi and Yobe States. Works included borehole development, installation of submersible pumping systems, solar photovoltaic panels, elevated water storage, and associated water distribution infrastructure.

The completed systems provide a reliable and sustainable source of water while reducing dependence on conventional electricity and fuel-powered pumping. The project contributes to improved access to clean water and strengthened community water infrastructure.
