Service 03

Roads & Transportation

Pavements designed for the traffic and subgrade they will carry.

Introduction

What this service covers

Road failure in Nigeria is rarely a surfacing problem. It is usually water, subgrade or compaction. B-CIJVAL designs and constructs roads by addressing all three before the wearing course is ever specified.

Pavement thickness is derived from CBR testing and projected traffic loading, drainage is designed as part of the road rather than added afterwards, and compaction is verified layer by layer against specification.

Our Process

Route Survey → Subgrade Testing → Pavement Design → Drainage Integration → Construction → Quality Verification

Each stage produces a deliverable the next stage depends on.
  1. 01

    Route Survey

Centreline survey, cross sections and existing pavement condition.

  2. 02

    Subgrade Testing

CBR, particle size distribution and moisture-density relationships.

  3. 03

    Pavement Design

Traffic loading assessment and layer thickness determination.

  4. 04

    Drainage Integration

Longitudinal drains, cross culverts and outfall design.

  5. 05

    Construction

Subgrade preparation, sub-base, base, binder and wearing course.

  6. 06

    Quality Verification

Field density, thickness and level compliance testing.

Deliverables
